The burning of the Murca (blood sausage) is a yearly ritual in the Spanish village Villar del Arzobispo. The murca is carried on a burial platform through a parade of torches. It is accompanied by a group of funeral mourners and a small band that played the typical burial melody with two rhythms, one slow and the other frenetic, with which the Morca was shaken vigorously. At the end of the procession, the Murca is set afire through fireworks and torches.
