Joost Gerritsen graduated from the AKI (Fine Art Academy) in Enschede. After graduating, he moved to Amsterdam and participated in group exhibitions in the Netherlands.
In 2016, he moved to the Spanish countryside near Valencia and began exhibiting in London and Valencia.
Joost Gerritsen is part of three art collectives:
The London Ground Collective, the PenJa'm collective in Valencia, and the Drawing Club Amsterdam.
