The older I get, the more I’m drawn to my first love in art, abstract art.
I was always drawn to abstract art as it seemed mysterious to me. The emotions it evoked where different than the emotions of pain or love. It was a complete new and different language.
I loved and still love this language and over time I created one of my own.
Although I still do weekly still life drawings with friends, I am starting to prefer letting the gestures, movements and syntax of my drawing language do the work.
The abstract soft pastel drawings are based upon the years of drawing. A vocabulary of shapes, lines, colours and emotions. Just like music, the narrative of my work is within the work itself.
The print is made on Hahnemühle German Etching, a fine art paper that is renowned for its rich texture and is used by artists around the world.
With a weight of 310 g/m², it offers excellent archival quality. The printing process is carbon neutral.
Prints include a small white border for easy framing and are available in three sizes: S, M and L.
Each drawing is produced in a limited edition. As new works arrive, older ones are retired to the archive, so if you see something you like, don’t wait.
