I started with still lifes.
I’ve been drawing with some friends on a weekly basis for over 30 years.
We started the drawing club at art school, to imporve our drawing skills. Often acompiened with a glass of wine, listening to some obscure jazz music.
Meanwhile talking about the hotest things happening in the art world and our thoughts about the recent projects we were undertaking.
After 30+ years, it’s more or less still the same. Each week, the host is responsible for setting up a still life. Often, this would contain parts of an unfinished sculpture or some furniture and other strange objects.
Anything goes on such a night. There are no rules.
Althougfh I’ve moved to Spain, thanks to modern technology I can participate with my friends who have set up the still life in Amsterdam.
